Earl’s Regency is one of Kandy’s longest-running five-star hotels, set in Tennekumbura on the edge of the city, overlooking the Mahaweli river valley. It is part of the Aitken Spence group, the same family as Kandy City Hotel by Earl’s.
What it’s like
It is a full-service resort hotel: a large pool, a spa, several restaurants and bars, and rooms that guests consistently describe as spacious. The breakfast spread is a highlight, and the green valley views make it feel further from the city than it is.
